Wells fargo open for business grant Impact
Houston Fund for Social Justice and Economic Equity (HEF) officially announced the launch of the Open for Business Grant portal to distribute $20 million to Houston-area diverse, small businesses and non-profit organizations.
Verizon Impact
The Verizon ‘Upgrade’ grant greatly impacted 16 nonprofit organizations across Houston. Leaders continue to share the impact of HEF resources on their ability to serve.
MGI Impact
Through a randomized selection process, the Mayor’s Guaranteed Income Pilot Program (MGI) anticipates completing the selection and begin the distribution of the monthly stipend of $375 for one year. Notifications are slated to begin in August.
VENDOR Impact
HEF partners with minority-owned businesses to deliver services or products at all in-person events. Recently, HEF partnered with 9 vendors at the Wells Fargo Open For Business Portal Launch.

The Dow Corporation Grant was utilized to provide both financial grants and learning modules for local nonprofits, focused on sustainability in community.
